TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEMH school in Castle Bromwich supporting children and young people aged 5-16. The setting provides a supportive environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, helping them to engage with education and work towards the outcomes identified within their EHCPs.

The school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant will work across primary and secondary age groups, providing individual and classroom support, following EHCP targets and using a consistent and resilient approach when supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs

• Experience working with pupils with EHCPs

• Strong behaviour management skills

• The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations

• A resilient, patient and proactive approach
