Licensing Admin

Location: Welwyn Hatfield

Hourly Rate: £15.94 – £17.63

Annual Leave: 25 days + bank holidays + privilege day

Hours: 37 hours per week, full time

Location/Hybrid Working: To be confirmed by the manager. Training will be office-based.

About the Role

We are looking for an Licensing Admin to join the Public Realm team. The successful candidate will provide professional licensing support, dealing with licensing applications, enforcement matters and enquiries while working closely with customers, elected members, internal departments and external partner agencies.

Key Requirements

• Knowledge of licensing law, guidance, policies and procedures, particularly Taxi Licensing and the Licensing Act.
• Knowledge and experience of licensing enforcement procedures.
• Understanding of other local authority services and how they interact with Licensing.
• Knowledge and experience of operating Safety Advisory/Environmental groups.
• Ability to prepare clear and professional letters, reports and emails for customers, elected members, officers and external agencies.
• Experience communicating with organisations including the Police, Trading Standards, DVSA, HMRC and VOSA.
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and appropriate notes and records.
• Ability to manage licensing matters professionally and work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
