Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school in Rowley Regis, supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional learning needs. The school provides a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills through personalised support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis from September. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils with Autism / ASD and Moderate Learning Difficulties / MLD on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities while promoting positive behaviour and individual progress.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND

• Experience working with pupils with Autism / ASD and Moderate Learning Difficulties / MLD

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, nurturing and resilient approach

• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Team Teach or Makaton training is desirable but not essential
