We're currently recruiting for 1:1 Support Assistants to work in welcoming primary schools on both long-term and short-term assignments starting in September.

You'll be joining inclusive, nurturing schools that place wellbeing, inclusion, and pupil development at the heart of everything they do. These schools are looking for dedicated individuals who can provide consistent support to children with additional learning needs, helping them thrive both academically and socially.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Support Worker, or someone with experience supporting children with SEND to make a genuine difference every day.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, ASD, ADHD and SEMH.
• Supporting pupils to access learning both inside and outside the classroom.
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement individual support plans.
• Adapting learning activities to meet the needs of individual pupils.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels supported.

Requirements & Skills:

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school, care or support setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional needs is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential—relevant experience will also be considered.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider school team.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
