Ideal Recruit is currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established client based in Bedford.

 

The role includes deliveries to stores across the UK, with an average of 2–3 drops of caged goods, plus some collections.

 

Rates of Pay: PAYE.
In addition to the rates, you accrued holiday pay. The rate applies for the first 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, the rate will increase, and it will increase again after 27 weeks.
 
Day rate £17.00 p/h between 06:00-13:59 (from 14:00 afternoon rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £23.92 p/h
 
Afternoon rate £18.25 p/h between 14:00-21:59 (from 22:00 night rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £25.17 p/h
 
Night rate £20.00 p/h between 22:00-05:59 (from 06:00 day rate applies).
Overtime after 45 hours £26.92 p/h

Additional Information

  • Paid assessment required

  • Fully paid breaks

  • Shift availability: Days / Afternoons / Nights

  • Shifts available Monday to Sunday

  • Holiday entitlement will be accrued during employment.

 

Requirements

  • HGV Class 1 driving entitlement (Category CE)

  • Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience

  • Refrigerator unit experience preferred

  • Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card

  • No more than 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
