TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic primary aged SEND school in Wolverhampton that provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children with moderate to severe learning needs. The school is committed to helping every pupil develop confidence, independence and life skills through a supportive and child-centred approach.
The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant on a part-time basis for both short-term and long-term opportunities, with an immediate start available. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support primary aged pupils with moderate to severe learning needs, assisting with classroom activities, promoting independence and providing personal care, including changing nappies, where required to meet individual care plans.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children with SEND, particularly moderate to severe learning needs • Experience supporting primary aged children within an education or care setting • A willingness to provide personal care, including changing nappies, when required • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • A patient, caring and positive attitude • A flexible and proactive approach to supporting pupils
