An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established RCVS Tier 2 accredited veterinary hospital in Somerset. This permanent role offers an excellent work-life balance, a supportive emergency team and access to outstanding facilities, making it ideal for a vet with an interest in emergency and critical care.

Established in 1998, the practice provides 24/7 veterinary care from a modern hospital with separate dog, cat and small mammal facilities. As a Cat Friendly Practice, the team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a calm and welcoming environment.

Working alongside a dedicated team of experienced OOH nurses who take all incoming calls, you'll be free to focus on clinical cases. A structured sleeping rota means that when there are no inpatients or emergencies, vets can rest while the nursing team manages the phones. Overnight accommodation is also available if required.

The hospital continues to grow its emergency caseload, offering an interesting variety of medical and surgical cases. Facilities include CT advanced imaging, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and an on-site laboratory, providing excellent opportunities to develop emergency and diagnostic skills.

• Permanent Out of Hours Veterinary Surgeon
• Salary up to £75,000 DOE
• Flexible rota discussed with the OOH team, including patterns such as 2 on/3 off, 4 on/10 off and 3 on/3 off
• Dedicated OOH support team
• Overnight accommodation available
