The Deputy Manager Role

This is a predominantly supernumerary Deputy Care Home Manager position, allowing you to focus on leadership, quality assurance and supporting the management of the home.

You'll work closely with the Home Manager and Clinical Deputy Manager to ensure residents receive exceptional care while supporting staff development, maintaining compliance and driving continuous improvement.

Some shifts and occasional weekends will be required to support the team and maintain visibility throughout the home.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the residential care home.
• Lead, motivate and support the care team.
• Promote outstanding dementia care and person-centred care.
• Monitor care quality and help achieve excellent CQC standards.
• Complete audits and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
• Supervise, mentor and develop care staff.
• Support recruitment, inductions and staff performance.
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
• Ensure policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience as a Deputy Care Home Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Care Team Leader or Team Leader within a residential care home.
• Previous experience supporting people living with dementia.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Knowledge of CQC regulations and person-centred care.
• A passion for delivering exceptional resident outcomes.
• The ability to commute to Crewe within approximately 40 minutes.
