An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving 24-hour veterinary hospital in Cheshire as part of the dedicated night team.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, collaborative team that values clinical excellence, compassion, and professional development.

The Role

This position is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon with previous ECC or hospital experience who is comfortable working in a sole charge capacity overnight.

The Night Veterinary Surgeon will play a key role in caring for hospitalised inpatients and managing out-of-hours emergency and critical care cases, supported throughout each shift by a skilled and experienced nursing team.

The rota offers an excellent work-life balance, typically consisting of:

• 7 nights on
• 14 nights off

This provides plenty of time to enjoy personal pursuits while maintaining exposure to a varied and rewarding caseload.

The hospital is fully equipped to deliver gold-standard veterinary care and offers excellent opportunities for ongoing clinical progression and development. Facilities include:

• CT scanner
• Doppler echocardiography
• Flexible and rigid endoscopy
• Digital radiography suites
• Ultrasound scanners
• Dental radiography
• Electrocautery
• Laparoscopy equipment
• Advanced anaesthesia facilities

The successful candidate will also benefit from the extensive knowledge, support, and expertise available across the wider veterinary group.

The Location

Located in beautiful Cheshire, the practice benefits from easy access to both the Peak District and Lake District, making it ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors.
