Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Saint Julian’s, Malta
Salary: €1,900 – €2,900 gross per month + service charge + accommodation

We are seeking a Sous Chef to become part of the kitchen team at a fine dining restaurant operated by a well-established hospitality group in Malta. The group is recognized for its premium dining experiences, with a focus on quality, creativity, and consistency.

We are in search of a skilled and driven Sous Chef with a solid background in high-end kitchens. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in delivering outstanding dishes, upholding the highest culinary standards, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. Experience in fine dining or comparable high-level settings is required.

Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the EU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
• Oversee service and maintain consistent, fine dining-quality dish execution
• Mentor, train, and develop junior kitchen staff
• Contribute to menu development and seasonal updates
• Uphold strict hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times
• Manage inventory, ordering, and waste reduction
• Ensure efficient kitchen organization during peak service times

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
• Strong knowledge of modern culinary techniques and kitchen management
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a kitchen team
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for gastronomy and high-quality ingredients
• Fluency in English language
