Production Team Leader

Location: Congleton, Cheshire

Salary: From £12.44 - £14.00+ per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Shift: Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 16:30 (No Weekends!)

KPI Recruiting are looking for a Production Team Leader to join a specialist manufacturing client based in Congleton. This is a pivotal role where you will balance front-line production with the supervision of a motivated team, ensuring quality and efficiency remain at the heart of the operation.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you won’t just be managing from the sidelines. You will be a hands-on presence on the shop floor, involved in cable assembly, wiring, and testing while leading your team to success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Supervise, coordinate, and support a small production team to meet daily targets.

• Training: Act as a mentor, assisting in the training and development of both new and existing staff.

• Workflow Management: Monitor workloads and allocate tasks to ensure all deadlines are met without compromising quality.

• Communication: Act as the bridge between management and the shop floor, ensuring clear communication at all levels.

• Safety & Improvement: Maintain a safe working environment and suggest ways to improve production processes.

About You

We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who leads by example.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team-leading role.

• Essential: Solid experience within a production or manufacturing environment.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.

• Excellent people-management and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, or a similar technical field.

• An understanding of production planning and scheduling.
