Hire Controller

Location: Outskirts of Bedford (Transport Required)

Salary: £24,000 – £30,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Working in a fast-paced office environment, you will play a key role in supporting customers, coordinating hire activity, and maximising revenue opportunities while delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handling customer enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face interaction
• Processing hire and sales orders accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed in line with company procedures (hire contracts, purchase orders, stock transfers, asset records)
• Liaising with warehouse teams to ensure equipment availability
• Coordinating drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and collections
• Meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining accurate system records
• Supporting health and safety compliance across daily operations
• Identifying and maximising consumable sales opportunities

Requirements:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Professional and well-presented
• Comfortable working in customer service and sales-focused situations
• Able to work collaboratively with internal teams including Sales and Operations
• Organised, accurate, and able to work in a reactive, fast-paced environment
• Full UK Driving Licence required
