Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm & 2pm - 10pm

The Opportunity

Due to a pending retirement, we're recruiting for an experienced Mechanical bias maintenance engineer to join a leading manufacturer in Rochdale. You will oversee all site Mechanical systems including new line and equipment installations, project work and new product testing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive repairs to a variety equipment and mechanical systems
• Carry out planned Maintenance activities.
• Minimising downtime and contributing to the achievement of production targets
• Supervision of outside contractors/service engineers and tradesmen as required
• Management of small projects such as equipment installation or staff training
• To develop and implement process improvements
• Electrical fault finding/ repair on sensors, motors, panels, drives etc...

About You

• Time served Mechanical Engineer from an industrial, manufacturing or process related industry.
• You will ideally have an electrical qualification and fault finding experience.
• Time served electrical engineers are more than welcome to apply but the typical day will involve more mechanical work than electrical.
• 17^th/ 18^th edition Ideally.
