About the Role - Key Responsibilities

As an Internal Account Manager, you will develop customer relationships and support sales growth across a UK-wide client base, working from near St Albans.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contacting existing and prospective customers to explain products, services and technical specifications.
• Developing client relationships and supporting key accounts.
• Coordinating customer projects from initial requirements through to delivery.
• Helping manage deliveries and coordinate fleet availability across the group.
• Working closely with external sales teams to maximise opportunities.
• Working towards sales targets and identifying opportunities for future business.
• Maintaining accurate records of customer calls, sales activity and useful account information.
• Communicating with senior managers and procurement teams by telephone and in person.

About You - Skills & Experience

To succeed as an Internal Account Manager, you will have:

• Proven experience in sales, account management or customer service.
• Experience within plant, tool, accommodation, welfare or transport hire, ideally in sales or on a hire desk.
• A track record of achieving sales budgets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence presenting products and services to customers and senior stakeholders.
• Good information technology skills, including customer relationship management systems and telephone software.
• The ability to understand technical products and explain solutions clearly.
• Strong organisation skills and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
