The Role

As a STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students across a range of STEM subjects, helping them maximise their academic potential whilst contributing to the wider life of the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within Mathematics, Science and Technology lessons.
  • Delivering one-to-one and small group academic interventions.
  • Providing GCSE and A-Level subject support.
  • Assisting with practical experiments and laboratory sessions.
  • Working closely with students who require additional academic challenge or support.
  • Supporting classroom teachers with lesson preparation and resource development.
  • Contributing to enrichment clubs, STEM projects and wider school activities.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A 2:1 degree or above from a leading university.
  • Excellent A-Level and GCSE results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence working with young people.
  • A genuine interest in education and student development.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and support learners.

Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching or educational experience is advantageous but not essential.
