Van Driver – Leicester, Leicestershire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Leicester, Leicestershire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £14.76 per hour, overtime at £19.68 per hour, ongoing work, immediate starts and the opportunity to secure a permanent position after just six weeks.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Multi-Drop Driver, Courier Driver or Delivery Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Saturday
 • 06:00 start times
 • Saturday shifts are shorter than weekday shifts

Rates of Pay

 • £14.76 per hour
 • £19.68 per hour after 48 hours worked

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Van Driver, your duties will include:

 • Delivering small parcels within a designated delivery area
 • Completing approximately 30–40 deliveries per day
 • Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
 • Completing delivery paperwork and electronic records where required
 • Ensuring all loads are safe and secure before departure
 • Providing excellent customer service at each delivery location
 • Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Van Driver, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category B Driving Licence
 • No more than three penalty points for minor offences
 • No DD, DR or IN endorsement codes
 • Good communication and customer service skills
 • A reliable and professional approach to work
 • The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
