TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Tonypandy who are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for a caring and supportive individual who can help pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN access their education and feel safe, included and supported within the school environment.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a part-time, ongoing basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN, providing classroom support and assistance with personal care where required while encouraging pupils' independence and participation in school life.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• Experience providing personal care to children or young people
• Experience working within a primary school or similar setting
• A good understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• A caring, patient and understanding approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
