Masstemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Pressbrake Operator to join a well-established and busy manufacturing company based near the Walsall area.

THE ROLE

•  Operate CNC press brake machinery to produce components to drawing and job specifications.

•  Read and interpret engineering drawings, bend schedules and dimensions.

•  Measure and check components during production to ensure accuracy and correct bend angles.

•  Make adjustments to machine settings and offsets where required.

•  Work with sheet metal and various gauges and material types.

•  Produce both batch and bespoke components to required specifications.

•  Load and position materials safely and accurately into the press brake.

•  Carry out first-off checks and monitor quality throughout production.

•  Identify tooling, machine or quality issues and report them to the relevant person.

ABOUT YOU

•  Previous experience operating a CNC Press Brake within a sheet-metal or manufacturing environment.

•  Experience setting press brake tooling and machine parameters.

•  Able to read and understand engineering drawings and work to dimensions and tolerances.

•  Experience working with different types and thicknesses of sheet metal.

•  Confident using verniers, tape measures, angle gauges and other measuring equipment.

•  Good understanding of press brake bending, tooling and bend allowances.

•  Able to make basic adjustments to achieve the correct dimensions and angles.

•  Experience producing components from drawings with minimal supervision.

•  Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.

•  Previous experience in a fabrication or sheet-metal environment would be advantageous.

Monday to Friday 06:00am – 14:00pm
