Sales & Marketing Manager – Hospitality Business

We’re working with a high-volume restaurant business in Edinburgh who are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Sales & Marketing Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, building relationships, driving sales and creating exciting marketing initiatives within a busy hospitality environment.

As Sales & Marketing Manager, you’ll take ownership of the venue’s sales and marketing activity, working closely with the General Manager to drive revenue, increase bookings and strengthen the overall customer experience. You’ll also manage and support one Sales & Marketing Coordinator, helping to develop the wider sales and marketing strategy. The role will be a 50/50 split between reactive and proactive sales, so you’ll need to be comfortable managing incoming enquiries while actively seeking out new business opportunities and developing existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales and revenue across the business
• Develop and implement creative marketing campaigns and initiatives
• Build strong relationships with clients, partners and key customers
• Manage group bookings, events and corporate opportunities
• Identify and develop new business opportunities
• Work across MICE, Leisure, Travel & Tourism markets
• Manage incoming enquiries and convert opportunities into bookings
• Proactively develop local business and industry relationships
• Support the planning and delivery of key events throughout the year
• Work closely with the General Manager and wider team to achieve commercial targets
• Be hands-on and visible within the business, particularly around events and key trading periods

Ideal Candidate:

• Based in Edinburgh with strong knowledge of the local market
• Well-connected within the local hospitality, tourism and events industry
• Experienced across MICE, Leisure and Travel & Tourism
• Experienced in managing group bookings
• Familiar with OpenTable
• Experience with Tripleseat would be advantageous
• Ideally has experience working within hospitality or restaurant group/chain
• Confident, friendly and naturally relationship-focused
• Commercially minded with a strong focus on driving revenue
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple opportunities at once
• Happy to be hands-on and involved in the day-to-day running of the business
