TeacherActive is proud to be working with SEN schools and mainstream settings in Carlisle that are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant. These settings are committed to providing supportive and inclusive learning environments where pupils can develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The SEN Teaching Assistant opportunities are available on a long-term basis, with both full-time and part-time working patterns available. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work across KS1 to KS4, supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom, assisting with learning activities and helping pupils engage positively with their education.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs / SEN
• Experience supporting pupils within an SEN school or mainstream education setting
• Confidence supporting pupils across KS1 to KS4
• A patient and positive approach to supporting learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability and a willingness to get stuck in
