TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEMH school in North Solihull that supports students who require additional help with their social, emotional and mental health needs. The school is looking for a resilient and adaptable Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships with students while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries.

The school is looking to take on an experienced Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, working with students in upper school across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide 1 to 1 support as well as general classroom cover and will need excellent behaviour management skills, resilience and the ability to adapt their approach to meet individual learning needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The resilience and confidence to manage challenging situations
• The ability to adapt to different learning needs
• A good sense of humour with a firm but fair approach
