TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist education provision in Swindon that supports children and young people who have been unable to access mainstream education due to additional needs or complex social circumstances. The setting provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where strong relationships, personalised learning and high aspirations help pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time English Teacher on a long-term basis from September 2026. The successful English Teacher will deliver engaging English lessons to pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs, adapting learning to meet individual abilities while supporting students to overcome barriers to education and achieve meaningful academic progress.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)

• Experience teaching English within a UK secondary or specialist education setting

• Experience supporting children and young people with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• The ability to differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs

• A positive, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
