Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – Croydon | Up to £70,000 FTE

We are seeking an experienced and autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a friendly and supportive GP practice in Croydon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ANP looking to develop their career within a progressive primary care setting. You will be joining an established multidisciplinary team with strong clinical support and the opportunity to work autonomously across a varied patient population.

Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.

About the Role

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of patients presenting with a wide range of acute, minor illness and long-term conditions.

You will work alongside GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team, with the opportunity to manage your own patient workload and utilise your full scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute and minor illnesses

• Conduct telephone and face-to-face consultations

• Manage patients with long-term conditions

• Undertake clinical examinations and assessments

• Request and interpret appropriate investigations

• Prescribe safely within your scope of practice

• Provide appropriate safety-netting and follow-up

• Recognise and manage deteriorating or acutely unwell patients

• Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other services

• Support health promotion and preventative care

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records

• Work collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists and the wider MDT

• Contribute to clinical audits, service development and quality improvement

About You

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner who is confident working autonomously within primary care.

Essential:

• Registered Nurse with active NMC registration

• Advanced Clinical Practice / ANP qualification or equivalent

• Independent Prescribing qualification

• Significant experience working within primary care

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

• Confident managing acute and chronic presentations

• Excellent communication and consultation skills

• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions

• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
