Job Title: SEMH Teacher Are you a qualified Teacher with the resilience and adaptability to engage pupils who have experienced difficulties within mainstream education? Can you deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum while adapting your teaching to meet individual learning and SEMH needs? Do you have a subject specialism and the confidence to take responsibility for leading and developing a subject area? TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Alternative Provision in Sefton supporting pupils aged 11-16 at Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 who have experienced difficulties in mainstream education, including pupils who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion. The setting provides a personalised curriculum and enrichment programme, with an ethos centred around inclusion, communication, aspiration and nurture, helping pupils to develop resilience, self-esteem and positive relationships. The school is looking to take on a passionate SEMH Teacher from September on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right SEMH Teacher. The successful SEMH Teacher will need to confidently teach across the curriculum, adapt learning to address gaps in pupils' knowledge and support positive behaviour, while a subject specialism and the ability to lead and develop a subject area would be highly desirable.
