Rates of Pay:

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 – 17:00
• 50 hours per week

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a Traffic Coordinator, you will work:

• Assisting in organising, directing, and coordinating the activities of PAYE Drivers, Independent Service Providers (ISPs), Agency Drivers, and the resources necessary for the safe, efficient, and economic movement of freight through the distribution system in both C&D Operations and Heavy Haulage Operations
• Running full shifts in both operations within the Glasgow depot
• Answering inbound calls from customers and Independent Service Providers quickly and efficiently
• Receiving telephone and email instructions from clients and recording relevant details accurately on the company's data management system
• Maintaining customer service levels at the highest standard by ensuring a rapid response to requirements
• Identifying needs and establishing client requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve service and sharing these with the Depot Manager
• Planning optimum utilisation of Independent Service Providers
• Planning optimum utilisation of all company-owned vehicles
• Ensuring that regulations regarding hours of work, operational safety and efficiency of company and ISP vehicles, and other statutory regulations are complied with
• Submitting all necessary forms pertaining to the company's BSI record system and management reports
• Ensuring minimal waste of resources and securing value for money, especially in the area of subcontractor haulage
• Developing positive relationships with colleagues and team members and supporting the Depot Manager in attaining goals
• Establishing and maintaining the trust and support of colleagues, managers, and teams
• Obtaining and processing information to enable appropriate decisions to be made
• Ensuring accurate storage and prompt retrieval of information
• Ensuring individuals, teams, managers, and clients are advised of appropriate information
• Assisting the Transport Manager in all aspects of legislation and compliance

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a Traffic Coordinator, you will need:

• Class 1 driving or van driving experience, as you will be required to drive a company vehicle
