SEND Primary Teacher – Stockton-on-Tees

Milk Education is looking to recruit a passionate and motivated SEND Primary Teacher to work within a welcoming specialist school in Stockton-on-Tees. Applications are encouraged from experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are committed to supporting children with additional needs.

The school provides tailored learning programmes for children with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities, helping every pupil develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

The Role:

As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of pupils.
  • Foster a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.
  • Use a range of behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes and pupil engagement.
  • Monitor progress, assess learning, and adapt teaching approaches to maximise achievement.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to provide the best possible support for pupils.
  • Promote high expectations, independence, and personal development across the classroom.

What We're Looking For:

To be considered, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2.
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND or a strong interest in specialist education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A flexible, patient, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
