Milk Education is currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional who is passionate about supporting children and helping them achieve their full potential.

About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting classroom learning and delivering engaging lessons under the direction of teaching staff.

You will work across the school, supporting pupils from Early Years through to Key Stage 2, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading whole-class and small-group learning activities
• Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Supporting pupils with their academic progress and personal development
• Working with children who have a range of learning needs
• Providing targeted intervention support
• Supporting classroom management and positive behaviour strategies
• Working closely with teachers and school leaders to improve outcomes for pupils

• HLTA status or significant experience working as a Teaching Assistant
• Experience supporting learning within a primary school setting
• Confidence delivering lessons and activities independently
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for helping children succeed

Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable, but not essential.
