TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist all-through SEND school in South Gloucestershire to recruit a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant. The school provides a supportive and nurturing learning environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, promoting positive relationships, resilience and individual progress.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Learning Support Assistant on a long-term temporary basis from September. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will support pupils across the school, working closely with teaching staff to encourage engagement, promote positive behaviour and help students access learning in a safe and supportive environment. Due to the school's location, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
• Team Teach training is desirable
• A full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
• Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach to supporting learners
• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider staff team
