TeacherActive is working with a supportive primary school in Worksop that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the primary age range. You may provide general classroom support, work with small groups and deliver one-to-one interventions to pupils who need additional help.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
• Have previous experience working as a qualified Teaching Assistant
• Have experience supporting primary-aged pupils
• Be confident supporting learning across the curriculum
• Have strong behaviour-management and communication skills
• Be patient, reliable and enthusiastic
• Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups
• Helping pupils remain focused and engaged
• Supporting children with different learning needs
• Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation
• Promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
