We are working with a fantastic primary school in Doncaster that is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their committed and supportive team. The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons across the primary curriculum.

  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups to boost confidence and attainment.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a safe, respectful learning environment.

  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where appropriate.

  • Help prepare classroom resources and assist with daily classroom routines.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents to support each child's development.

  • Encourage independence, resilience and a love of learning.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working with children in a primary school, nursery or similar educational setting.

  • Be caring, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children's education.

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Be adaptable, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
