Façade Designer

Location: North London

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 DOE + Benefits

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Façade Designer looking to work on landmark projects with a forward-thinking specialist contractor?

We're working with a well-established façade business that delivers high-quality building envelope solutions across commercial, residential, mixed-use and high-rise developments throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add a talented Façade Designer to their design team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects from concept through to installation, collaborating with architects, consultants, contractors and in-house project teams.

The Role

As a Façade Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed façade designs and technical drawings while ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, specification and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Develop curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing and building envelope solutions.

Prepare fabrication and construction drawings.

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and project teams.

Attend design and coordination meetings.

Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.

Resolve technical design issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Support manufacturing and installation teams with technical queries.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Façade Designer within the UK.

Strong knowledge of curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing or building envelope systems.

Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit experience advantageous).

Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.

Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and façade detailing.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
