Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant – Wembley, North West London | September 2026 Start

Russell Group Graduate and unsure whether a corporate graduate scheme is really for you?

Want a role where you'll be challenged, developed, and genuinely make a difference every single day?

Looking for the kind of experience that top Teacher Training providers, Educational Psychology programmes, and leading employers actively seek?

An exceptional secondary school in Wembley is searching for an ambitious Russell Group Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its outstanding team from September 2026.

This is not a role for graduates looking to blend into the background.

The school is specifically seeking high-calibre graduates who can become role models for its students, raise aspirations, and help young people achieve outcomes that can transform their futures.

Located in the heart of one of London's most vibrant and rapidly developing areas, this school has built a reputation for combining academic excellence with exceptional pastoral care. Students are ambitious, diverse, and eager to succeed, creating a genuinely rewarding environment for graduates who want to make an impact.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Every year, the school recruits a select group of exceptional graduates who go on to become teachers, educational psychologists, school leaders, doctors, lawyers, and professionals across a wide range of sectors.

You'll gain exposure to outstanding teaching, leadership, mentoring, safeguarding, behaviour management, and student development—experience that simply cannot be replicated in most graduate roles.

From supporting high-achieving students aiming for Oxbridge and Russell Group universities to helping vulnerable learners build confidence and achieve their potential, your influence will be felt throughout the school community.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted academic support across the curriculum
  • Work with students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
  • Support classroom teaching and learning
  • Mentor students preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations
  • Assist with intervention programmes and enrichment activities
  • Help create an environment where every student can thrive

What We're Looking For:

  • A Russell Group University degree (2:1 or above preferred)
  • Strong academic credentials throughout education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence
  • A genuine passion for education and young people
  • Future teachers, educational psychologists, and aspiring leaders strongly encouraged to apply

Salary & Benefits

£26,000 - £32,000 per annum

  • Full-time role from September 2026
  • Minimum 12-month contract
  • Outstanding graduate development programme
  • Exceptional school-based training
  • Mentoring from experienced teachers and senior leaders
  • Direct access to salaried teacher training pathways
  • Modern facilities and excellent resources
  • Outstanding transport connections across London
