The Opportunity

As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will play a key role in creating engaging and accessible learning experiences that enable pupils to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

Working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will support pupils with varying learning profiles while fostering a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and personal development
  • Monitor progress and contribute to assessments, reviews, and EHCP documentation
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals
  • Promote independence, communication, confidence, and positive attitudes towards learning
  • Adapt teaching approaches to ensure all pupils can access and engage with the curriculum

About You, To be successful in this role, you will have :

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience working within a special school or specialist SEND provision
  • Experience teaching within a primary-age setting
  • Strong knowledge of a range of SEND needs, including autism and complex learning difficulties
  • Experience adapting teaching strategies to meet individual pupil needs
  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children with additional needs
