Graduate Welfare Officer – Secondary School
(Wembley Area)
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum
Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Welfare Officer to join a welcoming and high-performing secondary school in the Wembley area. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team that places student wellbeing at the heart of everything it does.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students aged 11–18
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and welfare concerns
  • Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies
  • Contribute to safeguarding procedures and ensure student safety
  • Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a school setting (essential)
  • A relevant degree (required)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Organised, proactive, and compassionate approach
