People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client’s well-established transport team in Motherwell.

Shifts: 24-hour operation – Days and Nights available
Pay Rate: £16.00 – £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

• Operate and drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently

• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete all required documentation

• Load and deliver goods between designated locations

• Handle double-decker trailers where required

• Ensure all loads are safely secured

• Communicate effectively with transport teams and customers

• Adhere to road safety, traffic laws, and company regulations

Essential Skills

• Valid UK Category C+E Licence

• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card

• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)

• Reliable, punctual, and professional at all times

• Physically fit and capable of manual handling

• Strong understanding of road safety and compliance

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in retail or distribution deliveries

Training

• Full onboarding support provided

• Paid two-day site induction

• Ongoing driver support and development throughout your assignment
