About the Role

Working as a Graduate English Academic Mentor, you will support students and teachers across the English department while gaining valuable insight into the day-to-day life of a secondary school. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils during KS3 and KS4 English lessons.
• Delivering targeted 1:1 and small group sessions to strengthen literacy and written communication.
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom engagement.
• Helping students improve confidence with reading, writing, and analysis.
• Supporting with lesson preparation, marking, and tracking student progress where required.
• Developing a strong understanding of teaching practice and school environments as a Graduate English Academic Mentor.

Candidate Requirements

• A 2:1 degree or higher in English or a closely related subject.
