We're looking for a Management Accountant. Based at our Capenhurst site you'll deliver all day to day financial activities of major capital projects, including oversight of budgeting, reporting and supporting current financial reports as well as summaries and forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlook

What you'll do:
- Accountable for the analysis and evaluation enabling management to make decisions around
-Financial Plans
-Capital Activity
-New business opportunities
- Develop budgets and business plan, providing insight into trends and variances, advising stakeholders and deepening their understanding of data.
- Chair monthly project related cost and risk meetings ensuring that project accruals are reflection of project progress, forecasts are robustly challenged and contingencies managed according to delegated authorities. Also control and assist with the recharging and project and technical personnel time to each relevant project
- Maintain financial control and oversight over project commitments
- Provide governance and oversight of the vendor payment process including review and approval to ensure timely payment


What do you need to thrive in this role?

- Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance with several years working experience in a relevant position
- Must have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to represent the function on financial matters including but not limited to advice, presentations and decisions on O&M/Capital policies.
- Must have knowledge of applicable regulations
