As a KS1 Primary Teacher, your role will involve you teaching a class of 30 pupils of varying abilities. You will be ensuring dynamic teaching methods are taught, following the school's teaching philosophy but also able to bring your own ideas to the table too. You will be delivering lessons with the support of an energetic Teaching Assistant who will help you manage your class. Pupils work well with the resources the school has, especially the bright, airy classrooms. Your duties will include working with various teaching resources, including audio sensory rooms, which will help you gain insight into the best way to plan effective lessons. The school will provide you with full access to its impressive interactive learning areas, allowing you to deliver interesting, stimulating lessons with ease. The school is part of a fantastic community, and is close enough to the city centre for the school to utilise their location to plan exciting trips to Liverpool’s best attractions for the children. The large outdoor areas surrounding the school offer a range of learning opportunities including sports facilities, a garden and inspiring spaces for creative play. In addition, the separate Nursery building has its own enclosed playground. Reception and Y1 have their own outside classrooms. The Head Teacher has opened this Key Stage 1 opportunity to both experienced and Newly Qualified Primary Teachers (ECTs) – Experienced Primary Teachers will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities (TLRs) and these can vary from Subject, Year Group and Phase Lead. Newly Qualified Primary Teachers will be enrolled onto a bespoke a tailored ECT Induction that has helped shape many ‘Outstanding’ Teachers and current leaders.
