Graduate KS2 Teaching Assistant Have you recently completed your degree and are now searching for an opportunity to gain sustained, hands-on experience within a primary school? Are you considering a future career in teaching but keen to develop your understanding of classroom life through a teaching support position first? Perhaps you're looking for a role that will allow you to put your academic knowledge into practice, build confidence working with children and develop the skills needed for a future in education? An engaging and community-focused primary school in Liverpool is looking to appoint an enthusiastic graduate to join its KS2 team as a Graduate KS2 Teaching Assistant from November 2026, initially until the end of the academic year!
This is a welcoming and inclusive school where children are encouraged to enjoy their learning, develop meaningful friendships and feel confident in their surroundings. Creating a positive atmosphere where every pupil feels supported and valued is central to its ethos. The school is passionate about preparing children for the next stage of their education, encouraging them to become independent, enthusiastic learners with the confidence and determination to embrace future challenges. As a Graduate KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will become an important member of the upper primary team, working predominantly across Year 5 and Year 6 within a one-form entry setting. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery, helping pupils remain focused and engaged, and providing additional guidance to children who need a little extra encouragement. A key aspect of the position will involve delivering dedicated 1:1 support to pupils who have experienced disrupted attendance and developed gaps in their learning. With SATs approaching later in the academic year, you will help these children revisit important subject content, strengthen their understanding and develop the confidence needed to approach their assessments positively. Based in Liverpool, the school is an established part of its local community and offers a vibrant, welcoming environment for both pupils and staff.
