TeacherActive is currently recruiting Exam Invigilators to support secondary schools across East London during their November mock exams. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking flexible, temporary work within an educational setting.

As an Exam Invigilator, you will help ensure that mock examinations run smoothly and fairly, maintaining a calm and controlled environment so that students can complete their exams without disruption.

The successful Exam Invigilator will have:

• Previous exam invigilation experience is desirable but not essential.
• A good understanding of exam procedures and confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to remain alert and focused throughout examinations.
• A professional, reliable, and punctual approach to work.
• The confidence to supervise students and report any concerns appropriately.
• An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to undertake the necessary safeguarding checks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing examination rooms and distributing exam papers and materials.
• Checking student attendance and ensuring students are seated correctly.
• Reading out examination instructions and making announcements.
• Supervising students throughout examinations to prevent malpractice.
• Ensuring examination regulations are followed.
• Reporting any irregularities to the appropriate member of staff.
• Collecting examination papers at the end of each session.
