Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Salary: £40,000 plus uncapped commission.

KPI Recruiting are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to join one of our clients based in the Wigan area on a full-time, permanent basis, supporting their continued growth across sustainability and technology solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to develop existing client relationships, win new business and identify opportunities to grow customer accounts through innovative sustainability and technology solutions.

You’ll be responsible for building strong customer relationships, conducting regular client visits and attending meetings generated by the internal telemarketing team, with the aim of identifying opportunities, cross-selling solutions and closing new business.

You will be…

• Managing and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Conducting regular customer visits to identify opportunities and grow existing accounts
• Attending customer meetings generated by the internal telemarketing team to build relationships and close deals
• Identifying opportunities to cross-sell sustainability and technology solutions
• Completing customer surveys and site assessments in line with company procedures
• Generating new business through referrals, networking and field-based sales activity
• Working closely with internal teams to support customer requirements and business operations
• Identifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce costs and help customers achieve their sustainability goals
• Developing customer accounts to maximise sales opportunities and long-term business growth
• Achieving agreed sales targets and contributing to the continued success of the business

You will have…

• Proven experience in sales or business development
• A strong track record of building client relationships and winning new business
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• A confident and professional approach to customer meetings and site visits
• The ability to identify sales opportunities and successfully close deals
• Experience in account management and cross-selling solutions
• A proactive approach to generating new business through networking and referrals
• Strong commercial awareness and a target-driven mindset
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload
• The motivation and ambition to develop accounts and drive business growth
• An interest in sustainability and technology solutions (desirable)
