TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant. The school supports pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, providing opportunities to help children develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities within a positive learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a flexible Primary Teaching Assistant for day-to-day supply cover, with an immediate start available. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will be responsible for supporting class teachers with daily activities, providing 1:1 and small group support, assisting with literacy and numeracy interventions and helping to maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

• Experience supporting children across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2 within a UK primary school

• Experience providing 1:1 support, small group interventions and assisting with classroom activities

• A good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum, including literacy and numeracy

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff

• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning and development
