HGV Class 2 Driver - Rugby, Warwickshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rugby, Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• Days (06:00am - 10:00pm): £18.54 per hour
• Nights (10:00pm - 06:00am): £21.43 per hour
• Overtime (42+ hours): £26.54 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Sunday to Thursday
• Start times between 6:00pm and 7:00pm
• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 5:00am and 6:00am

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:

• Completing multi-drop deliveries of cages to hospitals
• Loading and unloading roller cages
• Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Ensuring all loads are safe and secure before transit
• Completing all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• A minimum of twelve months Category C driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• Good spoken and written English
• A professional and reliable approach to work
• Strong understanding of driver regulations and road safety

Training:

• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
• Client-specific paid induction and driver training
