Salary: £39,000 to £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:45pm
  • ? Friday: 7:30am to 12:30pm

About the Role
An established precision engineering company based in Rugby is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Machinist to support continued growth and the implementation of new manufacturing technology.
The successful candidate will join a technically focused engineering environment working on high-value and precision CNC milling applications across a range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and general engineering.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller who is confident working independently and wants to take on greater responsibility within a modern manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines.
  • Work with Fanuc controls and G-code-based programming.
  • Carry out online programming and make programme adjustments where required.
  • Follow, modify and optimise existing CNC programmes.
  • Operate 4-axis milling machinery.
  • Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings.
  • Set machines and tooling to produce components to specification.
  • Work independently and use initiative to resolve machining and production issues.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and precision throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Support the efficient running and improvement of manufacturing processes.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 10 years' engineering experience, with significant CNC milling experience.
  • Strong CNC milling machine tool background.
  • Proven experience with Fanuc controls.
  • Experience with Mill+ / G-code-based controls.
  • Confident with online programming and following/changing CNC programmes.
  • Experience with 4-axis milling.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings.
  • Strong technical and mechanical understanding.
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work on your own initiative.

Desirable

  • Experience working within precision engineering environments.
  • Experience across aerospace, automotive, oil and gas or other high-precision industries.
  • Experience contributing to manufacturing process improvements.
  • A strong interest in developing manufacturing technology and processes.

Benefits

  • £37,000?£39,000 salary, dependent on experience
