Salary: £90 – £120 per day

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA looking for flexible work across Leeds?

Are you confident covering classes, delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2?

TeacherActive is working with a number of primary schools across Leeds, including LS16, LS27 and surrounding areas, who are looking for confident and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistants for September.

We have opportunities available to suit your circumstances, whether you're looking for 1–2 days per week, regular day-to-day supply or a longer-term HLTA position.

The role may include:

• Providing whole-class cover across KS1 and KS2

• Delivering pre-planned lessons and learning activities

• Providing PPA and teacher absence cover

• Leading small-group interventions

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs

• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining established routines

• Working closely with teachers and senior leadership teams

The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have:

• HLTA qualification or strong relevant classroom experience

• Previous experience within a UK primary school

• Confidence leading a class and delivering planned work

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Experience across KS1 and/or KS2

• A good understanding of safeguarding

• A flexible, positive and reliable approach
