Masstemps are currently looking for a reliable and professional Security Guard to work at an IT company site in Droitwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, controlling access to the site and monitoring everyone entering and leaving the building.

Key Responsibilities

• Man the site security gate/security box during working hours.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the site.
• Monitor and record people entering and leaving the building/site.
• Challenge and verify visitors where appropriate.
• Maintain visitor and contractor logs.
• Carry out regular patrols of the grounds and surrounding areas.
• Monitor the site for any security, safety or access issues.
• Report any suspicious activity, incidents or security concerns to the appropriate contact.
• Respond appropriately to alarms or emergencies in line with site procedures.
• Ensure gates and access points are secure when required.
• Provide a professional and friendly presence for employees, visitors and contractors.
• Complete basic security paperwork and incident reports.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and responsible.
• Professional and well-presented.
• Confident dealing with members of staff, visitors and contractors.
• Observant and able to identify potential security issues.
• Calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations.
• Comfortable working independently.
• Physically able to carry out regular patrols of the site.
• Experienced in security work is desirable, but relevant experience and attitude will also be considered.

Further details: 

• £12.71 per hour
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am–6:00pm
• Regular daytime working hours.- Fixed term contract. 
• Stable site-based position in Droitwich.
• A professional working environment within an established IT company.
