We’re currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant / LSA to join a warm and inclusive primary school in Bolton on a long or short-term basis starting in September. This role is temporary/permanent/temp-to-perm.

You’ll be joining a community-focused and supportive school that places pupil wellbeing and personal development at the heart of school life. The school is committed to creating a calm and engaging environment where every pupil is encouraged to build confidence, develop independence and enjoy their learning.

You’ll be joining a friendly and inclusive school that works closely with its pupils, families and wider community. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys providing individualised support and making a meaningful difference to pupils’ learning, wellbeing and development.

Your main responsibilities will include:

· Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, helping them access learning and develop their independence

· Working closely with teachers to support lesson delivery, adapt resources and meet individual learning needs

· Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, where required

· Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher

· Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil feels valued and supported

Requirements or Skills:

· Recent experience working in a school, college or education setting

· Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs or SEND is desirable

· A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Education, Childcare, Supporting Teaching and Learning or a similar subject — or equivalent hands-on experience

· Strong literacy and numeracy skills

· Excellent communication, patience and interpersonal skills

· Comfortable taking direction from teaching staff and working effectively as part of a wider team

· A genuine passion for supporting pupils to overcome barriers and achieve their potential

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
