Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant Are you a high-achieving Humanities graduate who wants to do something meaningful with your degree? Have you considered becoming a teacher but want to experience life inside a successful secondary school before committing to teacher training? Could you inspire young people to question the world around them, explore different perspectives and become confident critical thinkers? KPI Education is recruiting a talented Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an ambitious secondary school in Enfield, North London for the full academic year. Whether your degree is in History, Geography, Politics, Philosophy, Religious Studies or another Humanities discipline, this is an opportunity to put your academic knowledge to work while gaining exceptional experience for a future career in education. The Essentials
More Than a Standard Teaching Assistant Role The school is looking for a graduate who can bring genuine subject expertise, intellectual curiosity and academic ambition into the classroom. You'll work closely with experienced Humanities teachers, supporting lessons and providing targeted interventions for students who would benefit from additional academic guidance. One lesson could see you helping GCSE History students construct stronger analytical arguments, while another could involve supporting Geography pupils with extended writing, source analysis or examination technique. You'll also have opportunities to work with higher-achieving pupils, helping them push towards Grades 7–9 and potentially A-Level or university study. A School Where Graduates Can Develop This Enfield secondary school has built a positive culture around high expectations, strong teaching and ambitious outcomes for its students. The Humanities faculty is a lively and engaging department where discussion, debate and independent thinking are actively encouraged. Teachers are passionate about their subjects and equally enthusiastic about supporting graduates who are considering joining the profession. For an aspiring teacher, the experience available here is invaluable. You'll see first-hand how excellent teachers manage classrooms, plan engaging lessons, assess progress and build relationships with young people. As your confidence develops, there may also be opportunities to take greater responsibility for interventions and academic mentoring. Who Should Apply? We're particularly interested in academically strong Humanities graduates who can become inspiring role models for young people. A 2:1 or First-Class degree is highly desirable, alongside excellent communication skills, maturity and a genuine interest in education. You don't necessarily need extensive classroom experience. What matters is your academic ability, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. If teaching is a career you're seriously considering, spending an academic year working alongside accomplished teachers could give you the experience and confidence needed to take that next step. Ready to turn your Humanities degree into classroom impact? Send your CV to Ryan at KPI Education today to be considered for this Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunity in Enfield.
