Milk Education Liverpool is working with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Liverpool that are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their support teams.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact on their educational journey. Opportunities are available on both short-term and long-term bases, with potential permanent positions available.

The hours of work are typically 08:30am - 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings.
  • Assist pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND, SEMH, Autism, and behavioural needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND department to support learning and inclusion.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage engagement in lessons.
  • Help students develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
  • Support the delivery of intervention and catch-up sessions.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements or Skills:

  • Recent experience working with children or young people within the last two years.
  • Graduates in their final year or those who have graduated within the last five years, particularly in Education, Psychology, Health & Social Care, or related subjects.
  • Candidates without a degree must have relevant UK secondary school experience.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • The ability to work effectively under the guidance of teachers and school staff.
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual.
