Early Years Teaching Assistant – North Durham

We’re looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join welcoming Early Years Settings across North Durham. 

We're working with Nurseries and Primary Schools who are committed to creating a positive and supportive community where children are encouraged to be curious, develop their confidence and celebrate their individuality.

The Roles:

• Monday – Friday
• Primary School/Nursery setting
• 8:30am - 3:30pm
• £107.71 a day

Teaching Assistant - Requirements or Skills:

• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education, early years or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience (required)
• Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)
• Enthusiasm for helping pupils reach their full potential and making a positive difference to their learning and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Teaching Assistant - Main Responsibilities:

• Encouraging independence by helping pupils develop communication and self-management skills
• Providing encouragement and reassurance to pupils who may require additional support
• Supporting learners by providing one-to-one or small group assistance
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
• Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, following school policies
